My Story
As a mom of three boys, working as a garden coordinator and specialist for pre-k through elementary school, I am passionate about nurturing young minds through growing food. I founded Gardening & More to offer enrichment opportunities to foster environmental literacy and create authentic learning spaces. I currently oversee forty raised organic vegetable beds and vibrant pollinator gardens in Westchester County. I'm excited about stimulating a child's love for food and appreciation of nature.

Having completed a graduate program Education for Sustainability at Manhattanville College in 2020, my post course field work included designing and executing a project for change. I shared my vision - a school garden and waste reduction program with stewardship as the cornerstone. I aimed for our youngest citizens, and have been busy ever since.

As we inch towards creating a sustainable future for the next generation, I believe in empowering children and adults to make change, by reimagining food, how we grow, use and recycle. It's transformative to teach a child how to nurture a seed, taste a new vegetable for the first time and help an adult discover the many ways to compost and grow a garden.
I look forward to bringing Gardening & More to your school or home.
Warmly,
Sara Sellitti
